Mr. Barrella has attended New Mexico Tech Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (EMRTC) where he witnessed, first-hand, the devastating effects of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) as well as vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VIEDs). When coupled with his being trained in FEMAs incident command system, Mr. Barrella brings a level of expertise in “target hardening”.
Mr. Barrella is proficient with virtually all types of firearms, including handguns, shotguns and patrol rifles. Mr. Barrella trained twice per year in active shooter engagement and mitigation.
